Fundación MMM has launched a Social Responsibility Program De la Mano Contigo, with the goal of developing initiatives that promote the health, safety and supply of basic needs for our elders. Our first initiative is a financial aid program for non-profit organizations dedicated to serving the elderly population in Puerto Rico; to help them maximize the non-profit’s reach and impact, and to strengthen their development.
Here’s what you need to know:
Fundación MMM will select five entities, which will be granted $20,000 each, for a total grant of $100,000.
These entities will receive training tools to strengthen their operation in areas such as finances, legal aspects, public relations, brand development, and federal grant writing, among others.
These services will be provided remotely, assisted by technology, through consulting, conferences, seminars or workshops, and educational material.
To be eligible, the entities must:
- Be duly registered at the Puerto Rico Department of State and must have been operating for at least two years
- Have an annual budget between $250,000 and $500,000
- Be entirely compliant with local and federal laws that regulate their operation
- Have a tax exemption from the local Department of Treasury
- Be in Good Standing with the Department of State
- Have a formal Board of Directors
- Must not be associated to private, politic, or government organizations. Senior center and day care centers are not eligible.
